Mechanical Parking System is a kind of automatic equipment integrating machinery and electronics, which can store and retrieve vehicles according to a predetermined program based on customer needs. Compared with ordinary garage control systems, the control system of mechanical vertical parking garages is more intelligent. It uses programmable controllers to meet the requirements of various high-performance scenarios. Usually, the automatic vehicle access control system of this type of garage consists of strong electrical systems and weak electrical systems.

1. Weak Electrical System

The weak electrical system mainly includes the collection of various signals, alarm and control outputs. The control core of the vertical parking garage is the PLC. The control system uses high-performance photosensitive components and sensors to detect the moving position of the elevator, parking space status, and vehicle parking position on the turntable. These signals detected by the components and the signals from the user pressing the button are collected as input signals by the input module and sent to the CPU. Then the PLC arranges feedback information reasonably through software control, commands the execution of component actions, and outputs signals to drive external contactor coils to control the connection and disconnection of the contactors.

2. Strong Electrical System

The strong electrical system mainly includes three-phase AC relays, contactor motor control circuits, and circuit protection devices. The circuit is equipped with automatic air switches, isolation transformers, and power-off and phase-loss protection circuits to prevent damage to the PLC due to over-current signals. In order to ensure the stable and safe operation of the vertical parking garage, there are limit switches for the lifting and rotating platforms. The garage uses parking detection devices instead of manual parking, and uses lifting devices and lateral movement devices to transport vehicles to the parking space. The system has an emergency stop switch at the control panel. When an accident occurs, pressing the emergency stop switch cuts off the power to all motors and prevents them from continuing to run, in order to protect the safety of personnel and equipment.

The control signal output system of the mechanical parking garage is more intelligent. It can transmit and receive forward and reverse signals in real time, understand the current status of the elevator operation in the garage in real time, and transmit the warning signals of the lights to the fixed entrance. Moreover, the garage can automatically increase or decrease the speed according to the requirements of the scenario.
