The annual meeting of the Parking Equipment Working Committee of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association was held in Changsha, Hunan Province on March 18, 2014. The meeting was attended by leaders and experts from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, the Shanghai Special Equipment Supervision and Inspection Institute, the Zhejiang Special Equipment Inspection and Research Institute, the Beijing Intellectual Property Office, and the Taiwan Stereoscopic Parking Association, with a total of 193 enterprises and more than 300 representatives.
On the evening of March 17, the Fourth Fifth Council was held, attended by 43 representatives from 10 vice-chairman units and 16 council units. The meeting was chaired by President Ming Yanhua. The meeting first discussed and approved the addition of one vice-chairman unit: Mingu Electric Machinery Co., Ltd., and the addition of five council units: Guangdong Sampu Garage Co., Ltd., Suzhou Dongli Electromechanical Industry Co., Ltd., etc.
At 8:30 a.m. on March 18th, the annual conference of the mechanical parking equipment industry in 2013 was officially convened.
The conference was chaired by President Ming Yanhua of the Parking Equipment Working Committee. She first expressed warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to the leaders, guests, and representatives attending the annual meeting on behalf of the Parking Equipment Working Committee. She also expressed sincere gratitude to Guangdong Sampu Garage Co., Ltd., Mingu Electric Machinery Co., Ltd., and other units for their strong assistance in this annual meeting.

In her speech, Ming Yanhua pointed out that the theme of this year's annual meeting, "More professional, more refined, more stable," summarizes the strategic direction of the future development of the parking equipment industry. It requires our enterprises to move towards specialization in production, refinement in management, and to define the positioning of their products, making products different from others, achieving differentiation, and gaining unique core competitiveness. Enterprises do not necessarily have to be the industry leader or the largest, as there can only be one of each in each industry. However, if you adhere to the direction of "more professional, more refined, more stable," your advantages will definitely be reflected in your products. No matter how the market changes, the requirement for product quality remains unchanged. Only by improving product quality can you win the trust of the market and users. With a product accepted by the market, the development of the enterprise can be more stable.

The meeting listened to the work report of the Secretary-General Gong Jianping of the Parking Equipment Working Committee on the work of the Secretariat in 2013 and the work plan for 2014.
The report summarized the development characteristics of the industry in 2013. Overall, the national parking equipment market has basically formed the pattern of "stable demand in first-tier cities, large demand in second-tier cities, fast growth in third-tier cities, and broad demand in fourth-tier cities." The report also pointed out the problems faced by the industry, including low entry barriers, high idle rate of mechanical parking garages, insufficient efforts in solving parking problems in old urban areas, and the need to further institutionalize and legalize enterprise operations.
The meeting also heard a statistical report from Li Zhongjun, the assistant to the president, on the economic operation of the mechanical parking equipment industry in 2013. The data showed that in the past year, a total of 1812 new garage projects were added in 239 cities in China, excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, with an increase of 11.4% compared to the previous year. The entire industry still maintained a relatively stable development trend despite the slowing growth of various economic indicators.
Jing Xiaobo, Deputy Director of the Operations Monitoring and Coordination Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Li Jing, Executive Chairman of the China Heavy Machinery Industry Association, made important speeches, putting forward specific requirements and suggestions for the future work of the association and the development of the industry.
The final agenda of the morning session was to commend outstanding enterprises and individuals in 2013 and present awards. (The following list of award winners is in alphabetical order.)
Enterprises awarded the "2013 Annual Industry Excellent Enterprise Award" include: Guangdong Sampu Garage Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Xizi Ishii Island Parking Equipment Co., Ltd., Hangzhou Youjia Precision Machinery Co., Ltd., etc.

In the afternoon, a discussion was held around the theme of the forum of this year's annual meeting, "More professional, more refined, more stable," chaired by Secretary-General Gong Jianping of the Parking Equipment Working Committee.

The meeting concluded with the approval of Secretary-General Gong Jianping's work report and the work plan for 2014, successfully concluding all the agenda items of the conference.
