News: Shenzhen plans to build a three-dimensional parking garage to improve the parking problem in the city.
The difficulty of parking in the city is a key point that can be effectively addressed by establishing multi-level parking garages. According to reports, Shenzhen will add multi-level garages to these parking lots, increasing the number of mechanical parking spaces. Among them, places like Shenzhen Bay Sports Park parking lot have been included in the first batch of pilot projects and will have multi-level garages constructed this year.
As of the end of 2016, the number of vehicles in Shenzhen is approximately 2.85 million, with about 1.25 million parking spaces registered with the traffic police department. The ratio of vehicles to parking spaces is 2.28:1. This also means that 1.6 million vehicles in Shenzhen will not have standardized parking spaces at night.
"Regulations on the Construction and Management of Mechanical Multi-Level Parking Lots in Shenzhen (Draft for Soliciting Opinions)" aim to standardize the construction and management approval process of mechanical multi-level parking facilities and accelerate the construction. The draft is currently soliciting opinions from relevant departments. After modification and improvement, it will be formally issued upon approval by the municipal government.
